Sleeping Locked Up

Sleeping locked in a chastity cage is one of the biggest hurdles I have had (and even for experienced wearers), but with the right tweaks, I feel most people can adapt and sleep through the night. The key is proper fit, gradual adjustment, and reducing friction/pain from nocturnal erections.

Here are the most effective, community-tested tips I have found and compiled from long-term users:

1. Get the Fit Right (This Is 80% of the Battle)

  • A well-fitted cage prevents painful full erections by stopping them early. Too big = shifting and pinching. Too small = constant pressure.
  • Base ring size: Start slightly looser if you’re new—gradually size down over weeks as your body adjusts. I prefer a 55 mm base ring.
  • Cage length: Go shorter (even micro if possible) so there’s no room for growth.

2. Build Up to Overnight Wear Slowly

  • Don’t jump straight into full nights. Wear it all day for 3–7 days first.
  • Then try napping in it during the day to train your body.
  • First few nights: Expect to wake up 2–4 times. It usually improves dramatically after 4–7 nights as your subconscious stops fighting the erections..

3. Lubricate and Moisturize Religiously

  • Apply a thin layer of water-based lube or zinc-based diaper rash cream (I like Dr. Squatch Deo) around the base ring and where skin meets the device before bed. This is the #1 tip for preventing chafing and raw skin.
  • Reapply if you wake up uncomfortable.
  • Some also dust with cornstarch-based or baby powder for extra slip. You can see that in my photos.

4. Optimize Your Sleeping Setup

  • Position: Side-sleeping (fetal position) or on your stomach works best for most. Back-sleeping often causes more pressure.
  • Put a pillow between your knees or under your hips to lift things slightly.
  • Warmth: Sleep in loose boxers, sleep shorts, or under a warm blanket. Warmth makes everything hang lower and more comfortably.
  • Underwear hack: Wear snug briefs or a jockstrap to keep the cage from flopping around.
  • Mattress: A softer pillow-top helps if you’re a stomach sleeper.

5. Pre-Bed Routine

  • Pee right before lights out (and avoid fluids for ~1 hour prior).
  • Quick clean with mild soap if needed.
  • If you’re still tossing and turning after a week, it’s okay to remove it for sleep and lock back on in the morning—many long-term users do this and still consider themselves “locked 24/7.”

6. Extra Tricks That Help a Lot

  • Sand down any sharp edges on cages with fine-grit sandpaper.
  • Some use a waist strap or shoelace tied around the base ring and waist to keep it pulled back.
  • If you have a keyholder, ask them to “allow” a silicone night cage—it makes the power exchange hotter without sacrificing sleep.

**Safety Reminder

Chastity should feel restrictive and frustrating, not painful. If you get swelling, numbness, discoloration, or sharp pain that doesn’t ease in a few minutes, take it off immediately. Good circulation is non-negotiable.

Most guys who stick with it say that after 1–2 weeks, sleeping caged becomes normal (and even kind of comforting). Your body literally rewires its nocturnal response.

You’ve got this. Once you crack the sleep code, the rest of the experience gets way more intense and rewarding. Remember life’s too short to play and sleep in one cage😈
