How to Solve Common Problems of Long-Term Cage Wear

The main issues include skin rubbing, peeing, swelling, ball trap, tip pressure, and cleaning

1. Skin rubbing

Skin rubbing can be eased by using a support strap to keep the cage stable.

You can cover the base ring with a stocking or a glasses cloth to reduce friction.

Putting Vaseline on the skin helps a lot. Changing the curve of the base ring can also help.

If your skin is sensitive or already broken, it’s best to use a sterile medical pad.

2. Peeing

For flat, inverted, or other cages that press hard on the urethra, it’s best to unlock to pee.

Tube-style cages can be adjusted while fully soft so the pee hole lines up with the urethra.

 Squat or sit to pee.

3. Swelling (edema)

Long-term wear does not mean never unlocking.

If you see foreskin swelling, unlock the cage and let it go down.

If you have foreskin , you can expose only the pee opening, so that any foreskin swelling is limited to a small ring of foreskin around the urethral opening.

Severe swelling may be caused by allergy or inflammation. Please pay close attention.

4. Ball trap/ Ball Slip

This is usually caused by the wrong base ring size.

Bigger is not always better. Rings that are too large increase escape risk and can also let a ball slip into the middle of the ring.

The best base ring size is not fixed. It depends on the cage structure.

5. Tip pressure (cage push)

The pain comes from two sources.

First, the penis cannot fully get hard, so it keeps pushing forward the cage.

Second, the penis keeps swelling in a very tight space.

Both can be eased by using a support strap.

A cage suppresses erections. To reduce how often tip pressure happens, you can adjust the cage after pressure so the penis becomes fully soft inside the cage. When locking, always try to lock while completely soft.

In the early days of wearing a cage, the double pain from morning wood and tip pressure, along with extra pain from skin rubbing and ball trapping, can easily wake you up.

After you get used to it, it may not wake you fully, but your sleep can become lighter.

Once the main problems above are solved, handling morning wood pressure is mostly a matter of time.

If you want true long-term wear, it is best to be able to stay locked all day.

6. Cleaning

Try to keep a regular unlock-and-clean routine. Shave hair when needed.

Infection and inflammation are serious problems, do not ignore hygiene.
